# Customiser > Customiser is AI estimating and quoting software for contract manufacturers. Forward an RFQ, drawing package or BOM and get back a priced, cost ready quote in minutes, with every number traceable to the document it came from. Customiser reads 2D technical drawings and specification documents (PDFs, TIFFs, DXFs, Excel BOMs, scanned prints and points lists), builds the bill of materials from what those drawings state, measures the features that drive cost, matches incoming items against your catalogue, and applies your own labour standards and rate cards. It does not process 3D CAD or solid model geometry. It is built for wire and tube fabricators, sheet metal shops, panel and switchgear builders, and precision component manufacturers. Last updated: 2026-07-30. ## Core pages - [Customiser home](https://customiser.ai): What Customiser reads, how a quote is produced, and an ROI calculator for estimating quoting capacity. - [How it works](https://customiser.ai/how-it-works): From forwarded RFQ to approved quote: how Customiser extracts, analyses, matches and prices your jobs step by step. - [Solutions overview](https://customiser.ai/solutions): Four ways Customiser reads your parts: wire and tube fabrication, sheet metal and fabrication, panels and switchgear, and precision components. - [Book a demo](https://customiser.ai/contact): Thirty minutes, your documents, live. If we cannot read your parts, you will know on the first call. ## Solutions - [Wire and tube fabrication](https://customiser.ai/solutions/wire-tube-fabrication): Bend counts, radii and cut lengths read from your 2D drawings, then built into a BOM. Quote wire forms and tube work without counting by hand. - [Sheet metal and fabrication](https://customiser.ai/solutions/sheet-metal-fabrication): Turn a drawing package into a cost ready takeoff. Features, materials and finishing extracted and priced with your own rates. - [Panels and switchgear](https://customiser.ai/solutions/panels-switchgear): Points lists and single line diagrams turned into component counts, I/O totals and labour hours from your own standards. - [Precision components](https://customiser.ai/solutions/precision-components): Spec libraries, designation cross referencing and history calibrated estimating. ## Integrations Customiser hands a finished quote to the system a shop already runs, as CSV, an Excel workbook, a PDF quote and cost breakdown, or through its REST API. There are no certified, listed or pre-built connectors to any third-party system, and no vendor endorsements; each connection is scoped during onboarding. - [Integrations](https://customiser.ai/integrations): How a finished Customiser quote reaches the ERP a shop already runs, what the export contains, and exactly what is and is not claimed about each connection. - [Does Customiser Work With ECI JobBOSS²?](https://customiser.ai/integrations/jobboss): How a Customiser quote reaches ECI JobBOSS²: what the export contains, which documented paths it lands through, and what the shop still owns. No certified connector is claimed. - [Does Customiser Work With Global Shop Solutions?](https://customiser.ai/integrations/global-shop-solutions): How a Customiser quote reaches Global Shop Solutions: what the export contains, how BOM and quote data lands, and what stays inside the ERP. No certified connector is claimed. ## Guides - [Guides](https://customiser.ai/guides): Fourteen answer-first guides on AI quoting for manufacturers: how it works, how accurate it is, how to read RFQ documents, and how to choose a tool. - [What Is AI Quoting Software?](https://customiser.ai/guides/what-is-ai-quoting-software): AI quoting software reads RFQ documents, 2D drawings, specifications and BOMs, measures the features that drive cost, and prices them with a shop's own rates. Here is what that actually means. - [How Does AI Quoting Software Work?](https://customiser.ai/guides/how-ai-quoting-works): The pipeline behind an AI-generated quote: intake, document extraction, geometry measurement, catalogue matching and pricing, and what still needs a person. - [How Accurate Is AI Quoting Software?](https://customiser.ai/guides/ai-quoting-accuracy): What accuracy actually means for a quoting tool: field-level confidence, traceability to the source document, and the human review gate behind any accuracy figure. - [AI Quoting Software vs Should-Cost Software](https://customiser.ai/guides/ai-quoting-vs-should-cost): AI quoting software prices a specific RFQ with a shop's own rates. Should-cost software simulates what a part ought to cost using a cost model. Here is the difference. - [AI Quoting Software vs an ERP Quoting Module](https://customiser.ai/guides/ai-quoting-vs-erp-quoting): An ERP quoting module lives inside the system that runs scheduling, inventory and job costing. AI quoting software is a focused RFQ-reading layer. Here is how they differ. - [What Is RFQ Automation?](https://customiser.ai/guides/rfq-automation): What RFQ automation actually automates: job creation, triage and routing, not the judgement calls. How a forwarded enquiry becomes a structured job. - [How Does Quoting From 2D Drawings Work?](https://customiser.ai/guides/quoting-from-2d-drawings): How a 2D drawing's title block, dimensions, hole schedules and notes become a structured feature list ready to price. - [How Does Quoting From Scanned Drawings Work?](https://customiser.ai/guides/quoting-from-scanned-drawings): What happens to a scanned or photographed drawing before anything on it can be measured: deskew, denoise, layout segmentation and confidence-scored OCR. - [How Is a Bend Count Read From a 2D Drawing?](https://customiser.ai/guides/bend-counting-from-2d-drawings): How a bend table, bend notes and dimensioned views on a 2D drawing produce a bend count, radius and cut length that is read from the drawing rather than guessed at. - [How Is a BOM Extracted From a Drawing Package?](https://customiser.ai/guides/bom-extraction): How a tabular BOM, a drawing parts list, or a multi-sheet assembly gets reconciled into one structured bill of materials, with balloons checked against line items. - [How Does a Points List Become a Panel Quote?](https://customiser.ai/guides/points-list-to-panel-quote): How I/O counts from a points list drive controller sizing, component selection and labour hours for a control panel quote. - [What Are Labour Standards and Rate Cards?](https://customiser.ai/guides/labour-standards-and-rate-cards): What a labour standard and a rate card actually are, and why applying them the same way on every quote matters more than the specific numbers. - [How Long Should Quoting Actually Take?](https://customiser.ai/guides/quote-turnaround-time): What actually drives quoting turnaround time, what changes when extraction is automated, and what still varies it from job to job. - [How Do You Choose Quoting Software?](https://customiser.ai/guides/how-to-choose-quoting-software): A framework for evaluating manufacturing quoting software: your own RFQ mix, where the price needs to come from, and deployment needs, before comparing specific tools. ## Comparisons - [Manufacturing quoting software](https://customiser.ai/manufacturing-quoting-software): The six categories of manufacturing quoting software, what each prices from, and how to choose based on how your RFQs actually arrive. - [Best Manufacturing Quoting Software in 2026: 6 Tools Compared](https://customiser.ai/manufacturing-quoting-software/best): Six manufacturing quoting tools compared on what they read and where their prices come from, across AI estimating, CAD quoting and ERP-embedded lanes, sourced from each vendor's own site. - [Compare Customiser](https://customiser.ai/compare): Direct, sourced head-to-head comparisons between Customiser and other manufacturing quoting tools. - [Alternatives to manufacturing quoting tools](https://customiser.ai/alternatives): Genuine alternatives to widely used manufacturing quoting and estimating tools, including where Customiser fits and where it does not. - [Customiser vs Paperless Parts](https://customiser.ai/compare/customiser-vs-paperless-parts): How Customiser and Paperless Parts differ on RFQ input formats, pricing logic and who each is built for, sourced from each vendor's own documentation. - [Customiser vs Mavlon](https://customiser.ai/compare/customiser-vs-mavlon): Customiser and Mavlon both read RFQ documents and price them with your own rates.
